הוּא־הִכָּ֨ה אֶת־אֱד֤וֹם בְּגֵיא־המלח [מֶ֙לַח֙] עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת אֲלָפִ֔ים וְתָפַ֥שׂ אֶת־הַסֶּ֖לַע בַּמִּלְחָמָ֑ה וַיִּקְרָ֤א אֶת־שְׁמָהּ֙ יָקְתְאֵ֔ל עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ (פ)
Er erschlug Edom im Tal des Salzes zehntausend und nahm Sela durch Krieg und nannte es bis heute Joktheel.
